Step Back into the Past at the Heritage Festival and Craft Show

From Saturday, September 15, through Sunday, September 16, the 40th Annual Heritage Festival and Craft Show will offer locals and visitors alike the opportunity to travel back in time to witness the ways of a bygone era firsthand. Chat with tradesmen and artisans outfitted in 19th-century attire appropriate to their stations as they present their wares and demonstrate their crafts to curious onlookers. Dancers and musicians from various traditions—from folk to bluegrass, from Irish to Native American, from country and western to Cajun—will perform on three separate stages in front of enthusiastic crowds. Children will love the cowboys with their horses and the many hands-on activities in the “Young’uns Area,” including candle dipping, rope making, paper pumpkins, stilt games, hayrides, and more. There will also be a variety of delicious foods for sale throughout the festival, as well as a separate area for contemporary, handmade arts and crafts.
